Austin Healey Sprite MkIV (Up to Gh. Nr. 85286) 1966-1971 Exhaust System
|Front Pipe (Cup Flange)||GEX1306||SSAN290|
The Mark IV upgrade of the Sprite was presented at the London Motor Show in October 1966. Besides receiving the larger 1275 cc engine, the Mark IV had several changes including a permanently fixed folding top, which was much easier to use. Separate brake and clutch master cylinders were fitted, as car manufacturers' thoughts began to turn to making their products safer. At the same time reversing lamps were made a standard fitment and the cars' electrical system was switched to negative earth and powered by an alternator rather than a dynamo. This was also the first year that reclining seats were fitted.
This stainless steel exhaust system is designed to fit the Austin-Healey Sprite Mark IV, in production between 1966 and 1971. The system comprises a front pipe with cup flange (Double S part reference number SSAN290) and rear silencer (SSAN233). For a replacement exhaust for Austin Healey Sprite Mark IV, Double S Exhausts recommend this system as long-lasting and high quality.
