In 1990, the Rover Mini Mark VI was introduced to the market, with the necessary changes to engine mounting points to take 1275 cc engines, plus the single point fuel injected car which came out in 1991. Rover's Mark VII Mini (from 1996) was the final version, with twin point injection and front-mounted radiator. The basic Mini was the 1.3i, the other model in the range being the Mini Cooper. The end of production in October 2000 not only signalled the end of original Mini production after 41 years, but also brought about the demise of the 1275cc engine which had powered the Mini and numerous other British cars for more than 35 years.
This stainless steel exhaust system is designed to fit the Mini Cooper RC40 with 1.3 litre injection engine, in production between 1991 and 2000. The system comprises Sports Connecting Pipe without silencer (Double S part reference SSAN583/1S) and rear silencer with twin sports DTM tailpipe (SSAN583/7S).
