Mercedes-Benz has sold a number of automobiles with the "450" model name:
1972–1980 R107 (450SL & 450SLC)
The SL variant was a 2-seat convertible/roadster with standard soft top and optional hardtop and optional folding seats for the rear bench. The SLC derivative was a 2-door hardtop coupe with normal rear seats.
1973–1979 W116 (450SE & 450SEL)
In early 1973, two new models were added to the range—the 450 SE and the 450 SEL (with a 100 mm longer body). The 450s received a plusher interior as well, with velour or leather seats rather than the checkered cloth of the lesser models.
